We had a great day at the CareerMosaic at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology last Friday.

It’s a pleasure to meet all the bright and smart students, discussing the future of the blooming biotechnology industry. We often find that science students are torn between research and business roles when they are looking for the first job out of university.

Our word of advice – Career in the biotechnology industry does not limit to academics or research positions, gaining access to the commercial side of the industry is the most effective way to expand your professional knowledge and network. Do not be blindsided by the common perception of a business development role, you will be surprised to find out what the experience will give you in return.
