The MycoAlert^® PLUS Mycoplasma Detection Kit can be used to test fresh media or supplements for mycoplasma contamination. A specific protocol is recommended for testing neat samples outlined in the ‘Instructions for Use’. The protocol involves a sample dilution step that helps eliminating any inhibitory influence of the culture media components to the MycoAlert^® PLUS Assay Reactions. The protocol includes a sample dilution step of 1:10 with the MycoAlert^® PLUS Assay Buffer.
